About the Event

Stewpot's Red Beans and Rice Celebration has become one of Jackson's most anticipated family fun festivals. This year, 15-20 restaurants, congregations, professionals, and individuals will vie for the coveted title of Best Red Beans Recipe in Town, decided on by a People’s Choice vote. Planned by a hard-working committee of volunteers and sponsored by Jackson's and the surrounding area’s finest corporate citizens, this family festival offers good, clean fun, for everyone!

Music is also one of the many highlights of the event. Past performers include Eddie Cotton, Colour Revolt, The Vamps, Dave Jordan and the Neighborhood Association Band, Hunter Gibson and the Gators, The Red Hots, Drivin' N Cryin', The Mulligan Brothers and many others.

The 2018 music lineup is: Marcia Ball, Hunter Gibson & The Gators, and Chris Gill & The Soul Shakers!

On hand at the Stewpot booth, staff will be serving up refreshments, signing up volunteers and telling anyone who asks everything about the 17 different ministries of Stewpot.
